WIP

Okay so here is one of the projects I've working on. It was suppose to be a xmas gift for my mom… but as you can see, I have gotten not very far with it. The theory is to clean up my stash of odds and ends of my yarn. Ya know, the tiny balls that's not big enough for anything. So here is what I've gotten thus far.

i think i'll need about 200+ of these to make a decent sized throw... here is the stack that i've gotten so far. there are about 30 of them -.-;;

here is the corner all sown up, just to give you an idea of what it might look like when it's done. the pic right beneath is what it's eventually suppose to look like. it's from sarah london's old site

sarah london's old site is http://sarah-london.blogspot.com/ and her new site is at http://sarahlondon.wordpress.com/

Weekend Update!

So this weekend was relaxing. Didn't do much work on the school front or the yarn front. However, I did unravel a sweater that 40% angora and 60% lamb's wool. Sooooooo nice and soft. Being still in my dying binge, I decided to dye the thing blue and give it to a friend. Couldn't find any blue Kool-aid so I settled for food coloring. I aimed for a solid blue color, couldn't tell which shade I was going for, but solid and not variegated. That's not the end product that I got… this is what I got.

It doesn't look completely bad, but I think it will be better looking when it gets made into something… like socks! I'm not completely sure where I went wrong. It might be 1) not enough vinegar/didn't soak it long enough or 2) not enough dye… meh, I guess I'll just have to play around with it some more :)

First Post YAY!!!

So I started this blog to keep track of all my inspirations and WIPs. So, first off, I got an idea to make a huge blanket based on this pixilated pic of yoshi.

Make bunch of granny squares in these colors and then just connect them all. This shall be another long term WIP… as if I don't have enough projects already.
